A production site with the core processes of injection moulding, painting and assembly was analysed. In addition, supporting processes such as quality assurance, maintenance, information technology and management processes were examined.
The overall aim of the project was to create an Industrie 4.0 roadmap for a Rehau production plant. The project consisted of three parts: the analysis and evaluation of the status quo of the Industrie 4.0 implementation in the company, the development of an Industrie 4.0 target picture coordinated with Rehau and the derivation of the roadmap as well as a detailed description of the individual projects.
The results were collected in a five-day on-site phase and the methodology of the index was presented in a kick-off event. The objectives were then worked out jointly. Finally, the status quo was determined through an inspection of the plant, workshops and interviews. Subsequently, our i4.0MC team finalized the roadmap according to the company.
