The digital transformation is a challenge for many manufacturing companies. Although the potential offered by Industrie 4.0 is well known, companies usually have difficulties developing their own roadmap.

The ADeKo „Joint German-Korean Conference“ will take place in Aachen for the first time from 17th to 19th of October . The alumni network Germany-Korea (ADeKo) is the world’s largest and only national network of Korean alumnis who have lived, studied and researched in Germany.

During the conference our Managing Partner Dr.-Ing. Violett Zeller will hold a presentation about the essential aspects of digital transformation. It is assumed that Industrie 4.0 is much more than a technological change. Equally important are the organizational structure and corporate culture. This will be illustrated with positive and negative examples.

In addition, the presentation uses maturity levels to establish a typical development path that manufacturing companies are going through in their transformation. It shows which potentials companies expect when reaching a maturity level. Finally, the Industry 4.0 Maturity Index presents a tool that supports companies in finding out their own status quo, defining goals for digital transformation and deriving an individual roadmap for achieving them.
